Alexandra Preschool Rooms
Butterfly Room Age 2/3
Our Butterfly room is for 2 to 3-year old children, situated downstairs, where we focus on the 3 prime areas in the Early Years Foundation Stage. (Communication and Language, Personal and Social Development and Physical Development) development in these areas allow children to be independent and confident when transitioning into the Flowers Room, Rainbow Room and School.
Activities are set according to the Early Years foundation Stage Framework, 3 Is (Intent, Implement and impact) and British Values.
The layout of the rooms allow constant supervision of the children and allow children to make choices of their own interest.
Flower Room Age 3 Plus
Our Flower Room is for Children that are ready to move from the Butterflies room or new children that are age 3 can also register.
This room allows children to develop any gaps in their development for example confidence, independent, language and communication, social and emotional, cognitive and self-care.
Practitioners work very closely with each child and support their individual needs. This room is able to take 8 children in the morning and 8 children in the afternoon.
Rainbow Room
Our Rainbow room is for 3 to 4-year old children. Here, we help prepare the children for their transition to school. Children are provided with a free set of uniform this enables them to foster equality, discipline and a sense of community. Children are provided with a free book bag, reading record and a change of book every Friday.
Children are encouraged to follow the Golden Rules, practice writing
and recognizing their names. We also learn about E- Safety children are taught to ask for help, aiming for balance, supervised digital engagement.
Our staff carefully plan the learning environment and make sure that the children set off on their learning journey happily.
Extra curricular activities are implemented each term.
